Business model

Our business model, in public.

Built using the Osterwalder canvas. We update this when the model changes — not just when we want a marketing moment.

Business model canvas

  • 01
    Customer Segments
    • Primary: Small local contractor businesses (1–10 person crews) across home-services trades. The platform is vertical-agnostic — verticals are spun up as data, not code.
    • Secondary: Their customers — homeowners + small commercial property managers in metro areas.
    • Tertiary (long-tail): Marketing agencies that want to spin up vetted directories in client niches without building from scratch.
  • 02
    Value Propositions
    • For contractors: “Verified-pro badge + qualified leads + a free CRM-lite to manage them — without the bidding-war race-to-the-bottom of Thumbtack/Angi.”
    • For customers: “Verified locals only. Vetted license + insurance. Up to 3 pros, never 17. Real reviews. A platform that backs you if it goes sideways.”
    • For agencies: “One codebase, multiple verticals. Brand it, configure the lead form in Sanity, ship a directory in days, not months.”
  • 03

Why this is public

Most platforms hide their model on purpose. We don’t. Contractors deserve to know how a directory makes money before they pay it. Customers deserve to know whether the platform they’re trusting is incentivized to send them the cheapest bid or the right one. And other founders deserve to see what we’ve learned. The roadmap shows what we’re building next; the canvas shows why.

Want to spin up a vetted directory in your niche?

We license the platform to agencies and operators. Brand it, configure it, ship in days.
